چکیده
Carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced 316L stainless steel (SS) composites were fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) additive manufacturing (AM). This study focuses on microstructure evolution, hardness, and wear behavior. The behavior for AM SS 1 wt% CNT/316L was studied a dry sliding test under normal loads of 10, 15, 25 N. addition CNT to led the change solidification mode from cellular/columnar dendritic growth, producing grain refinement. Nanoscale dendrites observed. Although TEM characterization confirmed existence in cell interior, most damaged, resulting carbon material segregation along cellular/dendritic boundaries. rate found dramatically decreased due improved hardness. Compared adhesive abrasive SS, mechanism composite adhesion oxidative wear. Enhanced boundary strengthening main composite.

Powder metallurgy (P/M) technique is usually used for manufacturing porous metal materials. However, some P/M materials are limitedly used in engineering for their performance deficiency. A novel 304 stainless steel P/M material was produced by a solid-state sintering of 304 stainless steel powders and 304 short stainless steel fibers, which were alternately laid in layers according to mass rat...

Study of the Microstructure and Cracking Mechanisms of Hastelloy X Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Hastelloy X (HX) is a Ni-based superalloy which suffers from high crack susceptibility during the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process. In this work, the microstructure of as-built HX samples was rigorously investigated to understand the main mechanisms leading to crack formation. The microstructural features of as-built HX samples consisted of very fine dendrite architectures with dimensions...
متن کاملPreparation of Nanohydroxyapatite-Carbon Nanotube Composite Coatings on 316L Stainless Steel Using Electrophoretic Deposition
Nanohydroxyapatite-carbon nanotube composite coatings were deposited via electrophoretic deposition (EPD). AISI 316L stainless steel and ethanol were used as substrate and dispersing medium, respectively. 5%wt carbon nanotube (CNT) was used as reinforcing phase. Uniform and macrocrack-free coatings were obtained both for hydroxyapatite (HA) and HA-5%wt CNT coatings. Scanning electron micros...
